This past rainy weekend in New Orleans the weather let up juuusttt enough for Nick + Hannah Jo’s New Orleans Hotel Peter & Paul engagement photos! We started at their house off Freret Street uptown to get some snaps of them… but mostly their dog, Walter. (Please keep scrolling and tell me, can you blame me?!)
Walter is the definition of a good doggo.
Nick + Hannah Jo spend many evenings on their stoop – so capturing photos of them there was a huge priority!
After that, we headed to the Marigny to stroll around and ended at the Elysian Bar at Hotel Peter & Paul for a drink. It was Friday night and the place was PACKED! Engagement pictures are always so fun because you take your time and do pretty much whatever you want. We literally just wandered around the historic streets for the last half hour, and those are some of my favorite images.
Hannah Jo changed into her MOM’s wedding dress for these! Wearing your mom’s wedding dress for engagement photos is such a sweet, meaningful, and even stylish idea!

We stopped by the Marigny Opera House and couldn’t resist a dramatic dip. There are so many gems like this in the Marigny and the Bywater, and just a short walk from the French Quarter, too!
Nick + Hannah Jo are about to head up to Philadelphia for a new adventure, but I think it’s pretty obvious they’ll always be New Orleanians. Thank you for inviting me to hang for an evening, guys!
