Morning New Orleans City Park Elopement

Lacie and Mitchell’s morning elopement in New Orleans City Park was a dream! Meeting early in the morning means the light through the oak trees is super gentle, almost giving the photos a painting-like quality – but I’ll stop talking about it, so you can scroll down and see for yourself.

Lacie and Mitchell opted for a private ceremony with just the two of them, their officiant, and Mitchell’s parents. They chose a mossy area of the oaks right off City Park Avenue next to the bridges for their ceremony site, and it was perfect!

They did a family prayer at the end of the ceremony – so meaningful and sweet!

After the ceremony, it was time to explore the park for portraits! City Park is a stunning 1,300 acre green space in the heart of New Orleans. Majestic live oak trees with swaying Spanish moss line the walking paths and ponds throughout the park. The scenic settings provide a serene natural backdrop amid the busy city. From the white arches of the historic Peristyle to the tranquil lagoons surrounded by lush gardens, there was no shortage of locations for us to photograph!

I mean, a bridge doesn’t get any better than this one!

Congratulations Lacie and Mitchell!
