French Quarter Courtyard Elopement

Kelli and Russell had their elopement at one of the most iconic courtyards in the French Quarter – the Royal Sonesta. I love a courtyard elopement because it gives some privacy within the bustling French Quarter. After the private vows, you can step out into the rambunctious streets for portraits and fun (and drinks!).

I loved Kelli’s dress – and I loved it even more when she showed me her sleeves could come off! What! I love a versatile fashion choice!

While Kelli had visited before, this was Russell’s very first time – and they flew in all the way from Montana to get married in New Orleans! For couples traveling to New Orleans to get married, the French Quarter serves as the ideal home base to explore the city and embrace its vibrant culture.

The French Quarter provides an abundance of photogenic backdrops for couples’ portraits like courtyards bedecked with flowers or balcony views overlooking wrought-iron gates – all of which we did in our afternoon together! And the convenience of the neighborhood makes wedding prep a breeze. Kelli literally walked to a little grocery store to pick up her bouquet the morning of the wedding! The French Quarter surrounds traveling couples with the best of New Orleans so they can relax and soak up the magic, just like Kelli and Russell. Congratulations both of you!
