New Orleans City Park Island Elopement

I always love photographing any kind of elopement in New Orleans City Park, but Megan and Jaron’s wedding was my first time photographing a ceremony on the island! It was midday so we had bright sun perfectly streaming through the trees. Megan grew up right next to the park, and they were joined by both of their families and Megan’s childhood priest for the ceremony.

First, a first look!

We explore the park before the ceremony for some wedding day portraits.

The park was so quiet, we had the whole place to ourselves and were able to take some beautiful portraits – my favorites were on the Langles Bridge!

Time to make it official! Megan’s sweet parents both walked her down the aisle to Jaron.

I love this shot of both sets of parents – and one brother each!

This light was a photographer’s dream!

Woohoo!

After the ceremony, they celebrated with champagne, bourbon and cokes, and beignets from Cafe du Monde across the little river in the park.

Had to have a pre-beignet toast!

All they needed was a bluetooth speaker and a playlist to have the perfect first dance under the oaks. Congratulations Megan + Jaron!
