John + Jesi celebrated their elopement in one of the most remote and romantic parts of New Orleans – Barataria Preserve in Jean Lafitte National Park.
Love this tender image of John helping Jesi with her incredible cape!
John and Jesi live up north, but frequently visit New Orleans – so it made perfect sense to celebrate such a big milestone here!
I wasn’t sure what Barataria Preserve would look like because it was just a few weeks after Hurricane Ida. While there were closed trails and definite damage, we also found beautiful untouched spots – and we photographed in them all.
I love how sunset in the swamp photographs – it’s so unlike in the city! Everything was cast in gold light, there were moody shadows, and Jesi and John literally gloewd!
Jesi had one of my favorite wedding looks – pearl headband, satin cape, I mean!
Thank you for inviting me to photograph y’all, Jesi and John – and for being adventurous enough to come out to Jean Lafitte National Park just a few weeks after a hurricane!
PS – love the moody and romantic vibe of this New Orleans Barataria Preserve Elopement? Check out another unique elopement here!
