Cat and Kevin flew to New Orleans for their courthouse and City Park elopement from Portland, Oregon! I love photographing people from the Pacific Northwest – there’s a real vibe there that I also feel here in New Orleans. In a lot of ways, Portland and New Orleans feel like sister cities and PNWers feel like family. I was thrilled to photograph Cat and Kevin!
We started at the courthouse in Gretna, a modern building nestled on the edge of the historic downtown.
Officially married! We had to take some pictures in front of the courthouse, then hopped in the car and headed over the bridge towards one of my favorite places in New Orleans – City Park!
The oaks and spanish moss in City Park were the perfect backdrop for Cat and Kevin – Cat looked adorable in her vintage accessories and those insanely amazing boots!
After Cat and Kevin saw their pictures, Cat sent me the sweetest email: I can’t thank you enough for your flexibility, professionalism, but most of all your kindness and natural ability to make us both feel at ease. I am so thankful to have met you and to have had you as the person who captured our day.
