Briana and Nick had their elopement pictures taken at the Pontchartrain Hotel – then we headed to the French Quarter! They had already gotten married in their home state of California, so this was a wedding celebration/honeymoon trip – and I was so thrilled they asked me to photograph their portraits during their visit.
We had to start at Jack Rose, an absolutely iconic restaurant within the Pontchartrain Hotel known for its wild decor and art gallery wall.
After our portraits in the Garden District, we hopped in the car and headed to what I think is the most colorful neighborhood in the city – the Marigny!
The Marigny’s artistic, bohemian vibe provides such a colorful and interesting backdrop for photos. This eclectic area adjacent to the French Quarter has a more local, laidback feel while still exuding that distinctive New Orleans look.
As the sun began to set, we headed back to the Pontchartrain and up to the roof to the Hot Tin Bar for views and cocktails to end the day. Congratulations, Briana and Nick!
