I’m obsessed with Garrett Field right outside New Orleans, and this wedding was no exception! Lauren and Jonathan had the most gorgeous day and I loved every minute of it.
How beautiful are these watercolor invitations?!
Garrett Field is such a unique combination of horse farm / polo fields / midcentury modern / art-filled house – like, can I move in?
Lauren and Jonathan chose to do a first look and share personal vows with each other before the official ceremony. Such a sweet and meaningful choice.
After their private vows, we explored the grounds for portraits of the two of them.
Guests started arriving for the ceremony as the sun started setting – perfect timing!
I was here for the donut bar (I chose a classic).
I love when both parents walk the bride down the aisle!
I mean how stunning is the light for the ceremony! I’m so grateful they listened to my suggestions about timing of the day – it made a huge difference!
They’re married! They timed their ceremony perfectly to end right at sunset – the dream for a photographer!
Of course Lauren and Jonathan had to end the night with a second line! The second line is a quintessential New Orleans tradition where wedding guests join a celebratory dancing parade showcasing the community’s support for the couple. It infuses weddings with festive spontaneity and joy – and makes each guest a part of the band!
Congratulations Jonathan and Lauren!
