How to Elope at Race & Religious

Wondering how to elope at Race & Religious?

This blog post runs down the most frequently asked questions and gives you all the information you need to make your wedding plans at one of my favorite places in all of New Orleans! Have a question that isn’t answered? Drop me a line!

Why should we elope at Race & Religious?

Race & Religious is an oasis. A completely unique location in the lower garden district, it’s made up of three properties nestled between courtyards. Everywhere you look you’ll see hidden artwork, eccentric furnishings, dripping candles, gorgeous tropical landscaping – I’ve photographed at R&R over fifty times but I still see something new every time I go!

Race & Religious is one of the most sought after (if not THE most sought after) venue in New Orleans and they have only recently opened up their property to elopements in 2020. This is the perfect time to have a small wedding at this incredibly special venue!

What time of day is best?

I always recommend  an hour or two before sunset for the best lighting – Race & Religious has many gorgeous photo backdrops and layered nooks and crannies, so making sure we have at least forty five minutes for portraits is a must!
