Springtime is always a popular time for an elopement – especially at the New Orleans Tree of Life!
Colleen and Rob have been together ten years. At this point, it was just making their lifelong commitment official.
The Tree of Life is located in Audubon Park in the uptown neighborhood of New Orleans. Sometimes the tree is packed with students reading and kids climbing (all of whom are more than happy to leave for a wedding!) but this April day was absolutely serene. We had it all to ourselves!
I’ve photographed a French Quarter Fest elopement at the Tree of Life every April since I moved here!
I absolutely loved Colleen’s elegant dress!
Had to have some champagne to toast the occasion with!
It’s amazing all the different portraits you can get with just one tree!
This angle is one of my favorites!
Rob and Colleen even climbed up a bit for this shot!
They turned out to be some of our favorites.
After our portraits, they celebrated their marriage with poboys and French Quarter Festival – my kind of party!
