City Park Couterie Forest Elopement

Colleen and Eddie had a gorgeous elopement in New Orleans City Park Couterie Forest – and dang, did it feel like a forest! It’s a magical wooded area in the middle of the park that feels like the most beautiful kind of wilderness. There are over eighty acres of paths, bayous, and trees and birds galore.

Accessed by a bridge over a bayou, we found a nice big tree and a pool of sunlight for Colleen and Eddie to say their vows and begin their married life together.

American Beautyberry was in full “bloom” in October – such a gorgeous backdrop for photos!

Fun fact: this gorgeous white curtain was a day-of Marshall’s find! It really made the space special.

The ceremony was officiated by the gorgeous Ranna McSwain from Let’s Elope New Orleans.

They’re married!

The light couldn’t have been more gorgeous for post-ceremony portraits – seriously like a fairytale!

After the ceremony, Colleen and Eddie popped over to Green House with their closest friends for dinner, drinks, and cake. This was my first time at Green House, and it’s a great space for an intimate celebration – and very conveniently located close to the park in the MidCity neighborhood. And there were so many plants! You know I loved that. 😉

Colleen changed into the cutest dress for their reception! Cocktail in hand, it’s time to celebrate!

Congratulations you two! Thank you so much for having me!
