Michael + Stacia | a barn wedding

Michael + Stacia met and fell in love at the same college my husband and I did. I didn’t see them very often (Stacia’s musical theatre kept her busy, and although Michael was a local and an old friend of my husband’s he didn’t actually attend our school), but when they got engaged and approached me about shooting their wedding I knew enough about them that I was DYING to do it! My journey with them began just a few days after their engagement, and over several long emails Stacia has become such a dear friend to me. My husband, Luke, and Michael went to school together and Luke has always spoken so highly of him – so it was no surprise that Stacia is such a kind and thoughtful woman.
Michael + Stacia (and all their friends and family!) put so much love, time, and effort into their big day. It was so genuine, elegant, and unique – just like them. The day looked like it would be full of rain, but amazingly the forecast cleared up for most of the day – the rain came right as Michael + Stacia kissed and ran down the aisle! We braved the sprinkles for some beautiful portraits, then ran inside the barn until it subsided – another break in the rain allowed for some more time with just the two of them and I love how green and dewy the evening became because of the rain!
I am so excited that these two not only had a beautiful wedding and party committing their lives to one another, but that I got to play a small part in such a special story. Michael + Stacia, I love you two – I am so over-the-moon happy for you – enjoy the photographs of your day! xoxo.
Many thanks to my dearest friend and talented photographer Maddie K. Doucet for second-shooting this wedding with me!

I always love shooting weddings at The Barn at High Point Farms! It is such a fantastic venue, and every time I go there is something new!

Stacia’s Vera Wang gown was truly stunning… it was everything a wedding dress should be.

Loved Stacia’s fun brooch bouquet!

These bridesmaids were hilarious!

Love when brides see themselves dressed for the first time!

Totally teared up when Stacia saw her father for the first time. So sweet.

She glowed all day long!

The suspenders were fun for the boys!

So many beautiful details! Michael + Stacia’s friends and family were there all morning preparing the space!

Moment of anticipation!

Check out the clouds – they held out just long enough!

One of my favorite kisses of all time.

They had a sense of humor about the weather!

Can’t get over all these portraits – they are such a happy couple and in shows in EVERY frame!
