I was so excited when New Orleans resident Mary Singleton reached out for artist creative branding photos! Her artwork is stunning, she is SO fun, and loves color as much as I do. New Orleans is such an amazing place for artists, and one of the best parts of my job is being invited into their studios for work like this.
I always go a little nuts for the details in artists studios! It’s all so colorful, textured, and just good, you know?!
Of course we had to snap some shots of Mary’s sweet dachshund mascots!
Mary sometimes sketches out her paintings before getting out her oils, I loved watching her do this on the fly!
Mary just received a few large commissions so she had tons of in progress work for us to photograph! I so appreciate her trusting me as we moved her supplies and artwork around to find the best light.
We then moved to my studio to get a few more portraits of Mary (and these perfect overalls!) with some of her finished work!
I always make sure to get a professional headshot or two of each of my branding clients. I had just purchased these colorful backdrops and Mary was down to try them!

I was so grateful that Mary trusted me to photograph her in her creative process. While we just finished the shoot a couple weeks ago, Mary says these photos have already changed the game for her! As a creative, it can be hard to “sell yourself”, and these pictures say so much more than paragraphs could!
