Spring New Orleans City Park Wedding

Nicole + Mark hosted their spring New Orleans City Park wedding on a beautifully overcast day right before festival season! New Orleans has so many wonderful places for a wedding, but I love City Park for its ease, its beauty, and how it’s just a quick second line away from Ralph’s for dinner.

Mark’s grandmother wasn’t able to travel from South America for the wedding, so he chatted with her (over a glass of whiskey, of course!) on the phone before the ceremony.

Two families coming together is such a special thing and I’m always looking for these moments. Nicole’s mother and Mark’s mother dissolved into giggles while toasting to the bride!

Even though City Park was packed on this Saturday, you really can’t tell in the photos! Nicole and Mark only had eyes for each other and it was so easy to focus on them (the park crowd loved them and complimented and cheered them through the whole portrait session!).

Nicole + Mark have been together eight years and knew each other even longer than that, staying close friends as they each dated other people – then, the timing was finally right! It was a very intimate group that gathered to celebrate and you could tell each and every person had such a love for Nicole + Mark.

Second lines always make for some of the best candid portraits of the whole day. They danced over to Ralph’s for dinner and dancing – the perfect end to this perfect day.
