Dominique + Zeke’s intimate wedding at the New Orleans Starlight Lounge was so enchanting! Dominique is one of my oldest New Orleans friends; I distinctly remember the first time she ever told me the story of her and Zeke (who was living out of the country at the time) in her charming MidCity studio over red wine. They weren’t together then, but the way Dominique talked about him – it was no surprise to me that they got back together a couple years later and are now MARRIED!
As Dominique touched in her vows, to be loved is good – but to be understood is profound. This couple has both of those things and I couldn’t have been more honored to witness and photograph their union. Congratulations D + Z!
This was my first time (and I hope not last time!) photographing at The Starlight – it’s quirky, romantic, whimsical – everything you could want for a French Quarter venue! Having a bar downstairs doesn’t hurt, either!
