Laura + Jason traveled from Austin to get have their elopement at the Tree of Life in New Orleans. We had been planning for months and were so excited – but then – the rain came!
We made a quick switch to their Airbnb in Broadmoor and they got married in the living room!
I’m amazed at the wonderful people I meet in this job. Laura + Jason are at the top of the list. So gracious, kind, and considerate of each other, their daughter Ava, and those around them (including me).
Then the skies cleared up and we snuck over to the Tree of Life for all their portraits!

It’s amazing the portraits you can get in just fifteen minutes! We didn’t linger long because we had somewhere else to be – dinner at Restaurant Avo!
It was such an honor to photograph Laura + Jason’s elopement! After their wedding, they came back through New Orleans and I was able to meet them for lunch. They gave me the sweetest Kendra Scott necklace I still wear every day! Their generosity blows me away!
