The Ace Hotel is an amazing place to have an elopement in New Orleans! With Kara + Mike’s gorgeous courtyard ceremony, celebratory portrait time around the Ace, and an incredibly romantic dinner we spent hours in the same building but it felt like multiple locations. I was able to meet Kara + Mike months before the wedding – a rarity for elopement clients! – and that just made me more excited to photograph this day! These images are some of my favorites I’ve ever taken.

I am so lucky to meet so many happy couples – after all, wedding days are typically some of the absolute happiest – but Kara and Mike really knocked the giddiness out of the park. My cheeks hurt at the end of the day from smiling every time THEY smiled – to be honest, they never stopped! They were so tender, loving, and humorous with each other and I have no doubt they can take on anything that comes in life successfully, together.
There are many gorgeous places to get married at the Ace Hotel – this is the second floor courtyard! There are rooms facing it toward the back, the perfect place for the wedding party to stay!
Kara + Mike hired Pop of Love, the all-inclusive elopement company I co-founded, to do all the planning and decor you see here – they knocked it out of the park!
The Ace Hotel also hosted and catered this gorgeous candlelit dinner – is there anything more romantic than this?!
These wax candelabras are seriously unforgettable!
