YOu ask, I answer

How long have you been shooting weddings?
I shot my first wedding in 2009, and I've shot over 250 since.

How many weddings do you shoot a year?
I used to shoot 35 weddings a year. Now, I'm able to shoot a maximum of 20 weddings a year. This gives me more time to focus on each of my couples.

How much coverage do I need?
Your coverage should begin around two hours before the formal portraits – that gives me plenty of time to photograph the details and everyone getting read. Time before the ceremony depends on whether or not you’ll be doing a first look. Ideally, I have an hour and a half to photograph the bridal party + bride and groom portraits + family formals. No matter your timeline, I’ll work with you to make sure I don’t miss a thing!

How many images will I get from my wedding day?
This totally varies depending on if you have a second shooter, how many hours I am there, etc., but typically I deliver about 75 images per hour.

When do we receive our images?
At the very latest, six weeks from your wedding day.

Do I need a second shooter?
Second shooters add another unique eye, but aren’t always a necessity. I shoot 90% of my weddings solo. You should consider adding an optional second shooter if you have over three hundred guests at your wedding, if the bride and groom are getting ready far away and you’d like photographs of both, or simply if you’d like a second perspective.

Should I do a first look?
First looks are an amazing way to have a private moment together as well as get some fantastic portraits without being rushed! You should consider a first look if you are having a late/sunset ceremony, if it is important to you to have a variety of poses and locations in your bride + groom portraits, and if you’d like to get to your reception before cocktail hour is over! If you don’t wish to see your husband-to-be until the moment you walk down the aisle, no problem. We’ll be sure to build time in your day for bride + groom portraits after the ceremony.

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer custom-designed, high-quality albums that are meant to last forever! I design every album myself, and often know the day of the wedding which images are likely to be showcased in the album. After I complete my design from your album picks, you’ll have the chance to make changes so the album is exactly what you want.

Should I invest in an album?
Yes, you should if you can. It is so tempting in the digital age to forego a “real life” book of your wedding photographs – but it is worth it. I want to give you photographs that not only capture the day and your love for one another, but photographs that will be passed down for generations. If you don’t get a wedding album for yourself, get one for your grandchildren!

How do I book you to shoot my wedding?!
If you’d like to officially hire me after we chat, I require a signed contract and a retainer of $1000 to hold your date. That amount is applied to your balance and the rest is due 30 days before your wedding.
