I can’t express how excited I am for The Not Wedding New Orleans! From holding my breath after the interview (and crossing my fingers!), to having lunch at Butcher with Sam, and my incredible experience at The Not Wedding Birmingham I have already been so blessed by the experience and by the wonderful people I’ve met who share my heart for yes, weddings, but most of all MARRIAGE! (And I’ve even booked a couple weddings from it already – so crazy!)
When Sam, a production manager for The Not Wedding, asked me about couples Jeff + Brigette were the first people who came to mind! They have been such wonderful friends to me since I moved to New Orleans, they are so fun and at ease with one another, they look beautiful together, they have an incredible little girl, AND to top it all off they don’t have many professional photos from their wedding. I am so excited they get a little “do-over” in July – a chance to renew their vows in front of their New Orleans friends (they were married in Florida) and photos photos photos galore for them to enjoy and pass on to their daughter Ella! You might recognize this sweet little family from one of my favorite shoots of all time, and Ella’s birthday party!
For our save-the-date shoot, I really wanted to showcase my favorite parts of the city. I am IN LOVE with the residential part of the Quarter right now (you can find me around Esplanade & Royal at least once a week!) and I adore how much it shows of my incredible historic city without the crowds of Jackson Square. For the second part, I teamed up with Sapphire Events and Evie + Valerie created a beautiful sweetheart table in City Park with the help of Kim Starr Wise, Mrs. Vintage, and Sucre! I LOVED how much that location showed of The Not Wedding’s jungle garden theme – all those deep greens and hot pinks and corals!
Be sure to buy your tickets for The Not Wedding New Orleans coming July 30th! Can’t wait to see you there!
